This is the old Horne/Saylor farm, Big Spring Hill Farm. This is my husband's home place. His older sister lives there now, the big barn burnt down back in 1991. The farm has a lot of history to it, built back in 1838, before New Paris was a town, the underground railroad went through here, old tunnels which collapsed over the years.

Hello My Name is Carol Saylor Scott I live in this home . First the name of my farm is Big Spring Farm . Not Spring Hill . The spring hill road was built at a much later date and that road did not exists till mid 1900 's the original road was behind my home. It crossed our spring . I have documents 'to prove this . At one time the farm was owned by John Furry he started a church in my home it lasted about 10 years. It was moved to the Mock Church after it was built around 1848. At that time buggy's came up the back then up past the Daniel Horne Property. Daniel's son James Madison Horn bought the farm soon after 1900. And stayed in my family.
