This is the John A Herold farm on North Duffy Rd in Center township. A dairy farm. The dairy barn and silo were built in 1953 after a fire destroyed another barn in the mid 1940's. The house was built in 1931 and a family room a 3 stall garage was added in 1971 after the photo was taken. The pole barn in the top of photo was built in 1966. The shed and grainery was built in 1948. The farm was 145 acres. Sadly the farm was sold in 2015 to a developer and is the sight of the Butler Veteran Affairs Medical center. None of these buildings here exist as they were torn down for the building of the hospital. This was one of the most productive and well maintained farms in Butler Co.
