The old Spurg's Restaurant in Spry Pa.

Moved to Spry in 1979. The diner was still there. The Dew drop was behind it. Skat gas station was across the street. Rutters was just south of it . My mom lived down the street until she passed in 2021. My step dad still lives there. Good memories of this place. I miss the diner.

This was my Grandfathers Restaurant his name was Spurgeon Gingerich. My Mother Merrill Gingerich and my Father Clyde Krout met while working at Spurg's in 1963 and I was born in 1964.

This became "Nick's Diner" around 1990. Building was razed around 2008 for other commercial development, but it is still an empty lot today.
