This was my granddad’s service station. It was a full service station: they’d wash your windows and check your oil and tires while they filled up your car. There was a glass coke bottle machine there. Some of the local men would come have a coke and talk to my granddad during the day. My grandmother who babysat me would stop by with me sometimes. I got to punch buttons on the old cash register, ride the car lift in the shop, and visit with the secretary.
