This is the house I grew up in. It is hard to tell in the photo, but it is actually on a corner turn on Wilmot Road in Twin Lakes. The home was finished in 1972 when I was born and is still there today, along with the pole barn seen in the photo. Eventually there was a pond in the back yard surrounding the oak tree as there were fresh springs all the way around it. My dad built the barn and the home, including both field stone fire places in the house. My father raised horses, goats, geese, ducks, rabbits, and we took care of wild game as he was an nuisance animal trapper. We got to raise litters of raccoon's and other wild animals and he would release them back to the wild at Bong Recreational Area. We also had 4-H animals as well. This was a great house with many good memories! There is also a patch of quick sand on the property which was very kewl to play with as a child - but scary to think what would happen if we fell in it!
