Photo 39-OPO-1

Comments

My Grandparents, William and Alice Miller settled this place in 1906. The orginal house, partially built of logs, was located to the right side of the picture. That is where my father, Albert Miller, and some of his siblings were born. It was moved to the present location because good water couldn't be found at that site. The farm was gradually enlarged and improved upon until it looked like you see in the picture. My grandparents left this farm in 1941. My father and mother farmed here from 1941 until 1956. My father quit farming because of his health, but we continued to live there until 1963. It was a wonderful place to grow up. It was purchased by Milfred and Lois Anderson in 1963. Today, nothing is standing but the house and it has been changed until unrecognizable. At the top of the picture, you can see Roy and Mercedes Wickstrom's house.
