This was the Hideaway bar/restaurant on Hwy 54 west of Waupaca in the town of Lanark Portage County. It has a Waupaca Address, in the Waupaca School District.
Currently it's called the Hideaway 2 and is open. I know there is a different house where the trailer home sits in this picture, otherwise it looks very much the same as it did in the 70's. The front entryway was added in the late 70's. If you turn left in there, that was the dining room. They had a smorgasboard on Sunday nights. It had 3 stations: one for hot entrees and big hotplates such as lasagna, then another station for smaller hot dishes and a 3rd station was filled with ice for salads and such. I remember it very well. The bar area remains the same. I've seen pictures online.
