Halverson Garage, built by my grandfather Carl Halverson in 1940-41 as a Texaco gas station. My father Gene Halverson now owns the garage and house. That's my grandfather's Plymouth parked in his spot in the lower portion of the photo - he would have been 74 when the photo was taken and was still working. I painted that white picket fence on the left several times. You can also see the bed of the '55 Chevy pickup that I drove after passing my driver's license exam. Must have been a nice day, all of the doors were open!
