Wade Farms, located at the Crossroads of Randall Wade and Bill Yance. My Grandfather George Randall and Grandmother Lulla Bell lived on the corner. This property has been in the Wade family since 1884. My Oldest son Andy, now lives in the house that he and I completely gutted and remodeled in 2017. A lot has changed in 35 years. Out of the 7 barns only 2 remain today. Even the old pear tree that us grandkids would eat pears until we turned green is now gone. In front of the barn is the old self propelled peanut picker that my Dad, Haywood had run before he was killed in 1982. Not many people will remember the hog barns behind my grandfather's house.
