Prairie Center is located 2 miles East of Carlisle on Hwy 70. The White House was built in 1926 following a fire that destroyed the two story house.The Smiley family moves here in 1906 from Indiana. The farm is still in the family. The small barn has beef torn down and a larger drive through barn put in its place.
