This whole area was bought by a company who was going to build what was going to be called the Gregory Canyon Landfill. All of the buildings have been torn down. Every building that you can see is gone except the long building in the center of the photo. County approval was delayed by lawsuits and, in 2026, a key piece of the land was bought by the Pala Band of Mission Indians thus ending the development. Other pieces of the property will still eventually have residential development.
