The old Capitol Speedway in Cheswold Delaware. Note the light poles in the infield. That was a big expense for a dirt stock-car track at the time. Track existed in this configuration from approximately 1960-1968. Dover Downs was built a few miles to the south, and likely aided in this track's demise. Other contributing factors to the downfall were probably the lack of retaining walls, amenities, and grandstands of any sort.
