I lived in the yard in the upper left hand corner from the school. (1959-1966) I have memories of the fire drills and sliding down the tube! Susan Irwin Collie
We lived in the house just North of the school. Many good memories there. We too would slide down the tubes at the school.
I would love to go in this place!
Moved to Mulberry Grove in 1971 from St. Louis, started 6th grade. I remember when we had a fire drill and got to throw ourselves down the chute : )
I never attended this school, I attended Smithboro school but since Smithboro didn't have a gym we played our home basketball games and practiced here. In the early 1950's the merchants in town would set up a projector and screen in the schoolyard and show free movies on Saturday night. People from surrounding farms would come to Mulberry on Saturday night to watch the movie and do their shopping. There were several businesses in Mulberry at that time.
This would have been the year that I started attending school here!
Looking north at the school in Mulberry Grove, Illinois, 205 School Street. I have placed the pin in the correct location.
