This was where my maternal Grandmother, Neoma Koppler Morgan lived. Her husband was Emery Morgan. My grandparents moved here a few years before he died and Grandma stayed there. She and a cousin, for room and board, milked Jersey cows and sent the milk to Marshall to the Kraft cheese plant where Kemper Industries, Inc. is now. Behind the garage is a small building and behind that (and the fence) was a large orchard when my mom was a child. The tallest part of the barn on the left was a log building. The house is now gone but the huge red oak tree that shades the house is still there.
