This farm home was built by my great grandfather Joel Rennels in the early 1900s. Joel and Lucinda Beavers had nine children, six sons, and three daughters. My grandfather, Ivory was one of Joel's sons. Ivory first met his wife, Lula Brown while she was visiting his younger sister, Orpha at this home in November 1906. Orpha was married on July 15, 1906, as I own a photograph with the entire family featured around the front porch on their wedding day. My grandmother and grandfather served as witnesses. Ivory and Lula's second son, Ray Marion Rennels, was born in this house.
