This farm belonged to my parents, Rose and Woodrow Lindstrom. It was purchased in 1950 when I was five years old. My father operated a small dairy and grew grains, primarily to feed our own livestock. My parents carved off a few acres of the farm south of Plank Road to build their retirement home in the early 1970s and they leased the house to tenants. They sold the acreage and the buildings some years later keeping their home on Plank Road.

My parents lived here from late 70’s until 2007 give or take a couple of years. All the out buildings were destroyed by Mother Nature or just were old. When my parents moved the owner (Hansel I think) had decided to tear the house down and the property was sold a few years ago. Currently there is a new house built on the property. So many memories there! Growing up everyone called it Howard’s (my dad) because the house sat on top of a small hill.
