This is not the CITGO station located at 63rd and Cass, in Westmont. Many reasons why... First...the station was originally a (Bunting’s) CITIES SERVICE gas station. It was built to the station type that CITIES SERVICE used throughout the l50s/e60s. The building lasted into the 80s. Second...at this photo angle, you would see the SHELL station that is (SILL!!!) located on the opposite side of the street running along the left side of the picture. You would also see the STANDARD station that is (STILL as a BP!!!) located along the bottom edge of the picture. This location is a mystery to me...

This IS Actually The Citgo Station On 63rd Street And Cass Avenue In Westomnt, Illinois. It Is Now The Site Of A U.S. Bank.

The Shell And The (Standard) Amoco Were Not Built Until The LATE 1960's. This Photo Is From The MID 1960's (1965).

The Station Was Gone By 1981.
