This house is still visible in a 1988 aerial image, but it didn't last much longer. The area behind it became Silver Lake. The quarry that operated here prior shows up on aerial photos as far back as they go (1939). Initially the quarry was a relatively small area of operation, but by the 1960s it had expanded to pretty much the entire area of what is now Silver Lake.
