The Carousel Restaurant, corner of Butterfield and Batavia Roads in Warrenville, IL.

The Carousel opened in 1961. The January 17, 2013 edition of the Chicago Tribune included a story on the building when it was demolished. The building began as a single-family home which was joined with the house next door in 1959. The restaurant operated for a couple of decades.

In 1983 Art Stresney moved his Stresney & Sons piano business to the location. It operated there for about 20 years. Art died in the mid-2000s and the building came into disrepair. The business had struggled and the City of Warrenville negotiated to buy the property while Art was still alive. According to the Tribune article in 2013, Art was a "colorful local character" whose negotiations to sell the property to Warrenville once included a piano. After reconstruction of the Butterfield/Batavia road intersection, the City of Warrenville convinced the Stresney heirs to tear down the building, as it was an eyesore and the property would be more valuable for development. In January 2013 the building came down.
