Farm at Fermi Village on Batavia road. The large barn and silo are now a community center for the scientists and their families, the house is on the left side of a three-structure in one housing office, the other parts of the structure being other area farmhouses. The barn is now adjacent to tennis courts and a pool. All of the other farm structures have been demolished, but the start of the unincorporated short lived community of Weston is shown in the small houses around the farmstead. These structures were incorporated into the Fermi village in 1969 and still remain.
This is where I grew up, being born in 1959. My Mom and Dad, Robert D. and Bernice Kuhn lived there from 1950 to 1969. It was a great place to grow up. The farmers in the area were all nice. It was a sad situation when the government came in and ruined it.
It was known as Maplecrest Farm. I was told the big old Victorian farm house was built in 1890.
