Conrad Bender Farm, corner of Army Trail Road & Schmale Road Wheaton, IL

Lived just down the road and grew up working on the Bender Farm helping out Reuben and Ethyl ,the last of the Bender family, that still lived / worked the farm until late 1980's

What type of farming did you help with here?

The dairy cows were sold when I was a little guy so it was mainly taking in hay, grinding feed, caring for livestock/poultry and a whole bunch of miscellaneous chores. Best times of the day were noon (dinner) and 5pm (supper) ; )
