this was the house where i lived as a child. my parents rented the white house on the right from the owners who lived on the farm on the corner or liberty & route 59. now it's a TGIFriday's, sad...
I believe that was a Brummell farm on the southwest corner of Liberty St. and Rt. 59 in Naperville. My Uncle Edward and Aunt Annabelle Kuhn lived across on the east side of 59 just a little north, walking distance. Or if Liberty St. had continued through in those days like it does now they would have been on what is now the northeast corner of Liberty St. and Rt. 59.
your correct... joe & mary brummel owned the farmstead. they were like grandparents to us kids. i remember ed & annabelle as a child, in fact they gave me a cross necklace for my baptism that i stared wearing in grade school and wore it almost everyday until the chain finally wore out in college. fond memories playing with the brummel girls and climbing the apple trees as a child living there.
I also grew up in the house on the right. Lived there from 1975 until 1995.
