Rustic Drive inn theatre.
The Rustic Starlite, also known as just the Starlite Drive-In Theatre, opened in 1950. The drive-in closed in the 1980s, and its marquee was rescued, now in front of Mid America Motorworks north of Effingham.
The foliage is hardly there at the entrance (left side of pic). The carousel with the horses hasn’t arrived yet.
September 1986 was the closure date. Currently there are nine seasonally active drive in theaters within Illinois
