Community pool. Spent a lot of time here during summers as a grade school student. You had to take a "deep water test" in order to go in the deep end and jump off the diving board. I never took the test and always fibbed and had them believing that they lost the paperwork on it. Hehe! The cool thing to do was to dive off the diving board and see if you could swim to the edge of the edge of the other side in one breathe. I did it a few times. After they removed the diving board due to insurance purposes, they replaced it with a slide and it just wasn't as fun as the diving board. It was demolished a few years ago. There were repairs that the money just wasn't there for. They people of the park board were told it'd be cheaper to probably demolish it and rebuild. There is now a basketball court just west of where the pump house was
