My dad opened this business on January 1, 1968.
He was a mechanic who by this time had worked at two Oldsmobile dealerships. He and my mom decided that if they would ever afford to send me and my brother to college, they would have to do so with their private business. The property was owned by Tony Bugaiski Oil Company and rent was paid by selling their fuel products. My dad did not want to run a 'filling station' per se, but did so in order to get the two garage bays for his tune-ups, oil & lube, muffler and brake shop.
