I grew up in the small village of Woodworth. This church, school and cemetery provide many memories for me and many others. In 1963 my husband and I were married in this church, along with several other couples. It was a busy year for the congregation. The parsonage is no longer there, as a new one was built a few years after this was taken. We purchased the old parsonage in the early 1970's and had it moved a short distance to the east, to the only crossroad in Woodworth. We lived there and raised our children there until 1983, when we moved to Crescent City, IL.
It was a good home for us and we enjoyed living there. I'm sure others will have lots to share about this property.
My grandparents and some other relatives are buried in the little cemetery.
Went to a couple of weddings there,an anniversary party for Aunt Hilda and Uncle Louis, and Aunt Hilda's funeral.I don't think I went to Uncle Louis' funeral. Too bad the picture doesn't turn the corner a little and show their house.
