This is the farm house where I grew up. We moved from there in 1982 to another farm close by. The only thing left is the metal round shed used to store farm equipment.
Did you know...the land on which this farmstead was built was purchased from the U.S. Government by Hamilton Murray on March 1, 1855. In the era of one-room schoolhouses, children living here would have walked four tenths of a mile north (uphill both ways) to attend a country school on the east side of the road.
