This was my grandparent’s house (Minor & Loretta Gowin) and farm from circa 1940 until 1982. My parents (Bill & Esther Gowin) bought it and remodeled when my grandparents moved to Jerseyville, and Owned it from 1982 until 1996, when my mother (dad died 1989) decided to move to Jerseyville, too.

The barn out back burned sometime around 1977 when my cousins set of bottle rockets at the Fourth of July and one landed in the hayloft!

Only the roof caught on fire and it was rapidly extinguished. :)
