We now own this farm

We live here in the 70's and 80's. Our parents (our father, Joe Heger, was the veterinarian in St. Charles) bought 40 acres from brother/sister Gunnar/Beatrice Johnson in '69. It originally was a dairy farm; we raised sheep, chickens and, occasionally pigs. The Johnsons built a house next door; Mr. Johnson continued to farm the fields and hand hoed it; Miss Johnson taught piano. The hexagonal was moved in the "70's but ultimately torn down. We 3 girls have such great memories of growing up here.
