I grew up on this farm milked alot of cows, stacked alot of hay in that barn, lot of playing softball in the door yard, lots of fun at family outings just to name a few things
Barn to right of center and house left of center both still located across N Fox Lake Rd from Volo Auto Museum next to cemetery.
In the upper right hand corner, behind the Regner barn, is the Volo Cemetery located on Fox Lake Road (right), near Belvidere Road (bottom) (now Volo Village Road). The cemetery is one of earliest known established cemeteries in the area dating back to about 1837. The unincorporated area was originally known as the "Forks" and then "Forksville" because it was the "forks of the McHenry and Chicago and Little Fort roads" used a stage route. The Forksville post office established in 1848. The post office and community name was changed to Volo in 1868. Many of the early residents of the area are buried here.
