This house used to be situated within the triangle bounded by Rt. 176 (on the bottom, out of frame), Park Ave. (shown running diagonal across top of photo), and Barnhill Dr., which would be to the left, out of frame. The small driveway under the "G" in the photo is still there and serves as the entry to a garage on the Longmeadow Church property.

According to the Fremont Township 1907 plat map, Park Ave. was the original main road from Rockefeller (Mundelein today) into Ivanhoe. The road (Rte. 176) south of this area did not exist. According to a 1939 aerial, Rte. 176, heading west, bypassed Ivanhoe to the south and a fork in the road with Park Ave. taking the original route directly into Ivanhoe.
