495 W. Northwest Hwy., looking SE. That's definitely not Larry Faul Chevrolet, as that was over on Lake Cook Rd. and Rand Rd. in Palatine. "If you didn't buy from Faul, it's no deal at all". I worked next door to this place 30 years ago, but I can't remember who was there (and it might have been different from whomever occupied this site in 1965).

Rico, you're right on the slogan and I'm old enough to remember! However this was definitely a Chevy dealership on NW Hwy and Larry Faul built the big place on 12 and Lake Cook in the early 90's. I found a reference on the Barrington Library website that he acquired a Chevy dealership in Barrington, but I can't find the article itself. All good info though and thanks for all your sleuthing.

Thank you for your info as well! I can't for the life of me remember who was there even though I was right next door at the Nationwide Insurance office at the time. I must have been too dazzled by the exotic car dealership down the street. ;)
