SW corner of N. Ela Rd. and W. Cuba Rd., looking SW. The farm is now the Cuba Marsh Forest Preserve. Cuba Rd. is visible on lower right corner.
This was the Pomeroy Farm and that family owned all the land south of Cuba, West of Ela, North of Lake Cook and West to Old Lake Zurich Road. The CN railroad (EJE) cut through their property in the early 30's. The old Pomeroy School is off Long Grove Road.
