This was our family’s thoroughbred farm, Locust Lawn Farm, comprising 200 acres on the northwest corner of Kelley and Hunt Club Rds, and 90 acres on the northeast corner. My father, Paul ESerdar was Chairman of the Illinois Racing Board during the 1950s, taking on the Chicago mob. He also founded and operated Imperial Mink Ranch in zwadsworth, IL. Originally farm of early settler McCallister family. Jane McCallister, widow, donated funds to build Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan, IL.
