Round Lake High School in the middle of picture

This is the middle school. To the left is the old, old brick school. It has been torn down now. To the right is Calvary Church. That is Hart Road on the left.

Linda is correct, it's John T Magee middle school.
Picture is facing west/south west. The four lane road along the lower left is Cedar Lake Road.

Looks like Ace Hardware in the top left corner.

When I went there in the late 80's the old brick building was connected to the expanded main building and housed the band/choir rooms.

I was in kindergarten in the 1968-1969 school year and went to the old, brick schoolhouse to the left of Magee Junior High School in the picture. My kindergarten teacher was Mrs. Brennan and, if I remember correctly, my classroom would have been on the lower floor in the back and on the left after entering the building. When you entered the building there was a large staircase that went up to the 2nd floor. On either side of that staircase there were smaller staircases that went down to the 1st floor. I remember the classrooms being old, dark and with lots of dark wood. My mom worked in the lunchroom at Magee Junior High School next door while my older sister and brother went there. I was in Kindergarten from 8:00am until noon so every day the Junior High would send two students over to escort me to the lunch room where I would have lunch and then go home with my mom. Only a couple of years later they made the building into the band room for the Junior High and eventually connected the two buildings. The old schoolhouse was torn down several years ago (2006 or 2007?).

Was’nt the factory in the top left called Grieve. I believe they made ovens

Yes and no.
No, top left is Ace Hardware and the bowling alley.
Yes, it is still Grieve but it's the building in the middle of the pic slightly to the right just above the school.
Industrial ovens/furnaces.

Yes Jeff ,. my mistake I should have looked back at the picture before activating the submit button. I use to pass by the Grieve Plant everyday on my way to & from Mag Val Underground Contractors at the end of the street in the 70’s. It’s amazing that Grieve still there and functioning in our always changing economy of today.Mag Val went out of business in early 1978.
