The house located on the northwest corner of Rt. 120 and Wilson was originally a Sears catalogue house built by Albert Paddock in 1920. He originally owned and farmed land across the road on Rt. 120. This road, originally known as the Lake McHenry Plank Road, Rt. 20 and Belivdere Rd., was a major link from Waukegan to Belividere especially during the early days of automobiles. Albert maintained about 120 hives of bees in his back yard, selling jars of honey in the front yard. The property was known as the "Honey Farm". Baxter started purchasing property in the late 1960's and now has a major complex of buildings for their operation.
