St. Mary of the Annunciation Church located on the south side W. Erhart Rd. between N. Fremont Center Rd. and Rte. 60 in Fremont Township. To the left of the church building is the school (not shown) and the cemetery (right side of photo). The church was founded in 1864 by German Catholics living in the area. The school opened in 1896. Many of the early Catholic pioneers are buried in this cemetery.

A new much larger church, as seen along N. Fremont Center Rd., was built and dedicated in April 14, 2002 located just southwest of the church shown above.
