This property is located on the northwest side of N. Fremont Center Rd. (left to right) at the Erhart Rd. intersection in Fremont Township. The farm was owned by the Hertel family and only the barn buildings and silo exist today.
After Irene (Hertel) Ulrich passed away 1997 at age of 97 the Farm with 20acres willed to Virginia Diebold her neighbor just north. After Virginia passed away the Diebold sold the land to Lake County Forest Preserve (preserve no way) about 2019 they tore down all the buildings. I had been using had been using the chicken coop ant grainery for storage and the small white barn as a shop. I had mowed the lawn for Irene for several years and doing maintenance around the house
