Wilhelm "William" Tekampe (1836-1911) arrived with his brother, John, in 1856 from Germany. In the late 1800's he and his wife, Anna Margaretha (Firnbach) Tekampe (1840-1910) purchased this farm located on Fremont Center Rd. Wilhelm's son, Joseph Francis Tekampe (1878-1969) and Margaretha (Lenzen) Tekampe (1880-1930) farmed until Joseph's son, Joseph Vitus Tekampe (1916-1978) and Jeanne "Jennie" (Celba) Tekampe (1914-1992) farmed the land before the family sold it to the Fremont School District 79 in the late 1990's
