This was the Diver (Pepple) family farm. All of the beautiful old barns and buildings were gone when this was taken. The house burned and was eventually torn down. I spent a great deal of my life enjoying these grounds. We were told that the little building on the left, which was my grandpa's machine shed, was the first automobile garage in the county. My grandmother who lived in that house most of her life may have been the first licensed woman driver in the county and my great aunt the second. We have the sleigh that was stored in the rafters of that shed. It was a wonderful place to grow-up because they had a small dairy operation, sold eggs, raised sheep and pigs, and had large family get-togethers every weekend.
