This farm was in our family from 1869 to 1999. Everyone from me back to my great grandfather grew up there. The only buildings left are the house and chicken coop.

Hi Al! That's amazing that your family owned the farm for such a long time. We'd love to hear more about your memories growing up there. Did you spend a lot of time in the house and chicken coop? Can you share any stories from that period in 1971 or tell us how the landscape has changed since then? We're always fascinated by the history of our aerial photos.

I lived on this farm from my birth in 1946 until December 1960. Would gather the eggs every day in the chicken house. When my great-great grandfather purchased the farm just from the homesteader just the middle section of the home was built. He added the two wings so there was room for the family. We moved to Wisconsin and my grandfather rented the farm to various people and without any pride of ownership the buildings slowly went into disrepair. The barn burned down in the mid 70s. Lots of good memories growing up there!!!
