Saratoga United Methodist Church. Founded in 1868, closed in 1999. Moved in 2000 to Three Sisters Park, where it burned down
As Tim wrote, this is Saratoga Methodist Church, and several generations of my family were connected with this church. A great-grandmother, Eva (Doyle) Lewis, played the organ in the church, and I believe her father, Wesley, helped build a fence. My maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Ruth (Van Ostrand) Lewis, and my parents, Howard and Aletta (Lewis) Kemper, were married in this church in 1928 and 1953. And Doyle-Lewis land, belonging to my grandfather and his brother, Lester, surrounded the church.
