The ranch house was built in front of the old two story house. We walked across a plank from the screened-in porch of our old house into the kitchen door of our new. I climbed the crib roof of the lower left crib (of the four north buildings), using the protruding nail heads as traction. (No, I didn't jump that high - there was a sloping shed roof to the right.) Great view from the summit. The barn, machine shed, two cribs and the path through the fields are gone now.
