The building on the left was the former Schofield School, named for the Schofield family whose land surrounded the building in the late-1800s. In the 1950s, Schofield was part of the Pearl City school district. In September 1956, voters approved the sale of the school building by a wide margin. The school property was sold at auction on October 20, 1956.
