This was the site of the Central School, which was District 75 of the Stephenson County schools, before consolidation.
The school was sold at auction on May 31, 1957. The winning bid of $1,000 was offered by L.C. Abels of Monroe, Wisconsin (Freeport Journal-Standard, 6/3/1957). A photo of the school as it was in 1918 is archived on the Lena-Winslow school district website:
