George Francis Meacham (1860-1951) bought this land as a farm for his son. The farm stayed in the Meacham family through the death of Ruth Chase Meacham McCullough, his daughter and my great aunt. Prior to her living there with her daughter for a few years, the home was occupied by Ralph and Ruth May McCullough Volk. My great aunt sold her large home just north of the square in Roseville as she became older and more frail. She then had an addition built on to this four-square home so she could live out her years with her daughter Ruth. Ruth and Ralph had no children. The farm land is currently held in the Marcia Meacham Morgan trust. The 7 acre house and buildings are owned separately.

George Francis Meacham bought this 160 acres for his son Marvin Eldred Meacham, who chose a different occupation. Marvin died at the age of 50. The land is held in trust by Marcia Meacham Morgan, a granddaughter of Marvin.
