This was my paternal grandparents farm, Walter and Beulah Beard in Swan Township, Warren County, IL. Grandpa bought the this farm around 1940. The old house and barn are gone and new one stand in their place but everything else is much the same. I can see in this picture my grandmother in the garden. This garden was always the pride of my grandfather. The lawn is well manicured as he mowed it every week if not more often. The house was well shaded as you can see. There was a huge oak tree that stood in the middle of that circle drive and it is still there today. Grandpa and Grandma moved to town in 1976 and they sold the farm to another family.
