My dad built this hog confinement in '74-'75. This was a cutting-edge operation for its day. It employed strict disease control and sophisticated embryo transplants to introduce new genetics into the herd. I was a little kid and had no way to appreciate what my dad was accomplishing. I'm far more impressed today.

I believe several of these buildings burned down and/or fell into severe disrepair in the '90s or '00s. (Dad sold this farm in '82.) I drove by there in 2017 and there were some newer buildings on the site, so hopefully the place has some new life.
