Looking NW at the intersection of U.S. 24, West Main Street, and Illinois Route 251, Fayette Street, El Paso, Illinois. From west to east along the north side of U.S. 24, we see the Gala Restaurant, a Freedom Oil/Freedom Pantry, Feeney Oil Servicenter and Shell gas station. In the SE corner of the intersection you see a Sunoco station. The Santa Fe, ex-TP&W, is the railroad. Woody’s is now where Gala was. Freedom Oil is still there. Casey’s is where the Shell was. The Sunoco is gone. The Toledo, Peoria and Western name is back on the railroad.
