Based on 1971 aerial photos available on the earthexplorer.usgs.gov website, this house appears to have been sacrificed for the 4-lane expansion of U.S. 41. The house was located where the 4-lane highway begins its curve just north of Boswell. In April 1971, the southward expansion had extended just to the edge of this farmstead. The house and buildings did not appear in future aerial photos.
